Hello Gurus.

How do I draw an arrow in Gimp? I have not found a way. If it is not
possible to do this in Gimp, does anybody know a program to do this on a
Linux system. I need to draw some arrows in a gif that I have. Xpaint
can only draw lines, not arrows. Staroffice makes very bad quality gifs.

Another question: Why can I only use Script fu as root? Also as I use
Gimp as a normal user, I can't load gifs.

xfig may do what you want -- the original vector drawing tool for unix systems.
It can export in various formats including gif. (Alternatively tgif though I've
not used that)

Try the GFig plug-in. (Image)->Filters->Render->GFig
