more on Maya 4.5 - pictures and movies

hello,

since my last posting a week ago my Maya 4.5 preview site grew quite a
bit. the most recent updates include pictures and animations for the
following subjects/features:

Floatin' On the Ocean - how you make objects swim (movie)
Wedge Faces - a powerful basic polygon modeling tool
Cycling the Fluid Planet - took a whole weekend to render (movie)
Subdivs to Nurbs - and it works, even under deformation!
A Glassy Fluid - interactive gradients help create fluids with several
shells

i don't make a cent with this site. i simply enjoy the program. hope

seit dem letzten posting in dieser newsgroup vor einer woche ist mein
Maya 4.5 tagebuch kräftig gewachsen. folgende sachen sind neu:

ozeanfahrt - wie man objekte schwimmen lassen kann (film)
das keilwerkzeug - auf für fächer geeignet
umkreisung des gasplaneten - ein ganzes wochenende renderzeit (film)
subdivs to nurbs - wirft feine flächen aus
gas wie glas - das interaktive gradientenwerkzeug erzeugt geschichtete
fluids

Cool site. Just a note on the floating objects. You can use the menu item
"make boat" instead of "make float" if you wish the object rotations to be
additionally affected by the slope of the water. Also note that a whack of
extra attributes are added on the locator node, along with notes describing
how everything works.
