Definitely not DX, try looking up www.metrowerks.com...
They make compilers for N64 and Playstation
If they don't have one for Dreamcast, they'll probably have it soon.

Thanks for the www.metrowerks.com ( I didn't know anything about this
company), but definitely DX yes ... (look for Windows CE for Dreamcast
in the microsoft site ).The DreamCast uses Windows CE for Hitachi SH4
processor.

Windows CE ??? Really ??? Geez, I had expected that they have their
own API, like N64 GameCode... Anyways, I thought Dreamcast is
supposedly a console???

I guess I better jump in.
Yes, MS has WInCE for the dreamcast. No you don't have to use it. I
think the only game using it that is shipping is Sega Rally.

If you have a PC game that uses DirectX you can quickly port to the
Dreamcast if you use WinCE which also has DirectX (version 6.something I
think. There will probably be a DX7 version soon if not already).

If you want to do a game from scratch you can either use WinCE/DirectX
to make a port to win9x (and the X-box?) extra easy or use the Sega libs
and maximize performance like every other console to date. Your choice.
