Hello,
I'm writing OpenGL screensaver, and found the next problem: when
screensaver starts the desktop is going to black for a moment then it
starts screensaver. This is may be the DWM is switching off before
start. I see that such problem occurs with the standard screensavers.
And also when I try the other one (right click on the scr file and the
first menu item is Test).
So, what is the reason of this behavior and could it be solved?

I tried on my PC with GForse 8600 graphic card and also on notebook
with Radeon - the result is the same.

I don't think it's a problem that needs solving.

You're seeing it often because you're a screensaver
developer. The users won't see it (they're supposed
to be not using the PC when it appears).

Thanks for reply.
This is very annoying. Under Windows XP everything is smoth - moment
ago it was just desktop and after a moment it become desktop with the
additional action (water effect in my screensaver). May be because I
change the OS I see so tremendous difference. I think that there
should be some way to change this.

The basic issue is by design. Sure, there may be a solution but that will
involve hacks or leaning on Microsoft. "Should" implies an imperative and
in practical terms this isn't being delivered. Ergo, it isn't a priority.
