! RASTER FILE CONVERSION HELP WTD !

We are providing Document Management Services (scanning &
vectorizing Full size bp's and aperture cards) to Navy
Contractors and rather than "re-invent the wheel" by writing our
own drivers, and Raster Image Format Conversion software package,
we were wondering if anyone in the JCALS, JEDMICS community could
point us to any "off-the-shelf" DOS/WIN3/WIN95/WIN-NT based
Raster Image File Conversion Software. We are looking to acquire
ANY free-ware, share-ware, or fully licenced commercial package
that works! The software has to be DOS/WINDOWS/WIN95/WIN-NT
based, and be able to convert either *.TIF (group 3 or 4), or
CALS (I) to EDMICS 5, or EDMICS 6, or C4 (JEDMICS) Raster file
format.

We would be grateful for any contact names, vendors, company
names & addresses, locations, URL's, FTP's, where we might locate
the above-mentioned.

Our current Software Package(s) can "read" JEDMICS/ATIS format
files and convert to regular "vanilla" TIFF 4 Format, but none of
our packages can "write" back to EDMICS6/JEDMICS/ATIS Format and
convert from TIFF. Go figure.

We are able of course to convert TIFF to JEMICS/ATIS by hand via
a Byte Editor, but would rather like to avoid such a process
since we have several files to convert.

If anyone in the JEDMICS JCALS community has any hints, tips,
advice, or light to shed on the above please respond to Tony

FaxMail is a "Raster Image File Conversion Software". It converts to
*.DCX and/or *.PCX.

The Microsoft Knowledge Base lists ElectraSoft's FaxMail as a Fax
solution for Windows.

With FaxMail you need one modem on workstation one. All the rest of
the workstations put their jobs in the workstation one queue.

NT or FaxMail Network for NT/95/Win32s for FREE.

If you can print, you can fax.
