I asked 3 questions before I purchased the system:
>>1. You list a 10/100 network card... is this or can it be 10/100 base-T?
>>2. You list that these are new units with 3 yr. warranty... are these box
>>unopened?
>>3. Do you take credit cards?
>Answers to your questions:
>1. yes
>2. yes
>3. no
I agreed to a COD (yes I did talk him down some on the price). Everything
appeared to go fine although he sent the COD out for $25 more than what we
agreed but he emailed me that as soon as he received the COD he'd refund
the $25 mistake. However when I received the system it was obviously not
unopened as it had extra peanut style packaging in addition to the HP
packing. I didn't mind that so much however it didn't match the above in
three ways:
1. It has 32MB ram NOT 64MB
2. It has the 10/100VG network card not the 10/100BT that I asked about
3. It came with NO bundled software.
After repeated emails to CablePros with no response I started calling the
work and home phone numbers leaving messages on the machines when I could
get through. Now finally he has changed his home phone (the only one that
seems to have a reliable answering machine) to an unlisted number. I have
been patient for almost 2 months now trying to resolve this issue in
private but now I feel obligated to warn others so they don't have the same
experience.
