Hello,

I'm looking into the logistics of offering revival font developers a
venue at http://typeheritage.com. Most of the commercial folks deal
with myfonts.com, and one developer told me that the contract allows
selling the same fonts elsewhere as long as the price doesn't
"under-sell" theirs.

He also said that myfonts' commission rate is 35%. So far, it looks
like I could manage a secure PayPal setup with an accurate
record-keeping and semi-automatic(?) payment system for a
significantly lower commission.

In case you haven't visited my new site (launched last summer), please
do so! I think you'll agree that it would be a scholarly "showcase"
for the important work of archiving letterpress fonts for posterity.
And it would single out revival digitizers with the recognition they
deserve.

I'd be very grateful for input, especially from developers who
specialize in authentic revivals of 19th- and early 20th-century
display faces (not text fonts). What do you think is a reasonable
commission? Have you dealt with PayPal for a similar project? Does
this idea interest you?

Many thanks, Anna

P.S. One of the pages previews a few of many as-yet undigitied
beauties with links to specimens at flickr.com--I can furnish
high-resoultion ones for those interested:
