Hi all -

I've spent the last few days trawling various oldskool font archives for this specific monospace (probably bitmap) font. It appears on a Wyse terminal circa 1990.

$20 bounty via PayPal to the first correct identification, $30 if you can also provide a download link. Format is irrelevant - I can convert between formats myself.

Sadly this is the only reference image I have - I don't own this terminal and the owner doesn't have it any more.

If any more information is needed, let me know, and if I can help, I will. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look.

I just ran across your message while searching for this font myself.

I used Wyse-50 terminals extensively in the mid-1980s, and this looks a lot like the standard font on those terminals. I've never run across a modernized version.

However, I remember that one of the manuals for that terminal (maybe the programmer's manual?) had an appendix that showed the font in a large size, enough to see the individual pixels. At some point, I actually typed in the font (using asterisks & dashes, as I recall) and saved it away -- but sadly I cannot find that file.

I did find a Wyse-60 guide here that shows a similar font, but it's smaller than I remember:

There's probably enough info there to reconstruct the font, if you (or I) really wanted to.

The public library where I grew up used WY-60 terminals to access the catalog. I couldn't help myself, so I punched in the font from the manual. Download/edit it here:

Sorry it's 4 years late.
