I'm trying to compose a spoof interview that's supposed to look as
close as possible to format of the well-known "Playboy Interview" in
Playboy magazine. I've already identified the body text font as New
Baskerville, and the attribution font (e.g. "PLAYBOY:") as Futura
Bold, but the font used for the title text has me stumped.

I'd appreciate any help identifying this font (or suggesting a font
that's reasonably similar). You can see a sample at:

http://www.playboy.com/magazine/current/english/interview.html

It's the font used in the "PLAYBOY INTERVIEW: TOMMY HILFIGER" GIF text
at the top of the page.

Thanks in advance!

Try Cheltenham Bold Condensed (a non-ITC version if you have one).

Thank you! The reason I wasn't able to identify the font myself is
that I don't have any experience with Cheltenham (I don't have any
form of Cheltenham on my system).

I've been browsing the different font foundries on the web to see
which version of Cheltenham I should consider purchasing. (Monotype's
online ordering system is particularly attractive in that they allow
one to purchase individual fonts for $22.50, instead of the entire
typeface package for $160.) However, the low-resolution samples
typically provided on the foundries' web sites don't really enable me
to tell the difference between their respective versions of the fonts.

Could you (or some other kind soul) please elaborate on the
differences between the different versions of Cheltenham --
particularly why you recommend that I stay away from a non-ITC version
for my particular application?

Thanks again for your help!

Looks like 'Poppl-Pontifex' to me, but I'm not sure!

Hell, if I had a feminin side, I would be touching it all the time!
