upon looking at NCIS, I believe that Bank Gothic or Eurostile are
closer to the font you want...

it's Eurostile (or its caps-only ancestor Microgramma), by Aldo
Novarese. A fair range of weights, including condensed and extended
versions, are available from such major foundries as Adobe, Linotype, &
URW (Bitstream's cut is called Square 721) -- and it probably wouldn't
be hard to find a free imitation or knock-off.
If that's not actually used in the titles (the site apparently won't
play episodes outside the USA, so I couldn't check for myself), sorry
for the red herring ... if possible please post a link to an example.
