Should it be a script font or regular?
Should it be italic or not?
I found several companies that make sew-on name patches.

Most of these seem to be a sdript font. I have Bruish Script, but it
seems more ornate than these.
Can anyone identify the font used for the Grace patch in the first
link above, Dave or Becky in the second link, or Kevin or Marc in the
third?

Still looking for "Grace", but the others are very familiar designs of a
half-century ago:
"Kevin" - Brody
"Marc", "Dave", "Becky" - Brush Script
(Since you have the latter, try setting those names to compare yourself.)

"Grace" is in Monotype Script (AKA Script MT, Script Bold), 1930s. I
should have recognized it sooner; while I was browsing a font catalogue
at work today the G caught my eye.

That's quite an eye you have there.
I had a friend who could do that with color. I took her with me to
help choose the right color paint for a living room. She selected a
couple of those little color slips and asked me what I thought. I
looked at one and said I wasn't sure how it would go with the carpet.
She selected another color slip and held them together. When we got
home, the second slip matched the carpet exactly.
It's an amazing gift -- like perfect pitch.
Thanks for the help.
