Do you have a font called Tw Cen MT? I believe that's installed with Word,
and it's pretty much the same font as Futura.
(FYI, there are no Microsoft Word specific fonts, Word uses whatever fonts
are installed on your system.)

(2) Almost every major type foundry has a version of Futura available... most have both
PostScript and TrueType. The copyright on the name "Futura" is owned by Fundición
Tipográphica Neufville SA, and they have licensed it extensively.
Hint:
Pick up any Corel clip-art package, and you'll also get a library of over 1,000 high
quality Bitstream fonts ... including Futura in 21 weights.

:-) How choosy do you think someone is who requests a "font for
microsoft word" in regular and bold?

Microsoft Word is available for both Windows and Macintosh.
You can make a request for the fonts in either
alt.binaries.fonts
or
alt.binaries.mac.fonts
depending on which computer you have. Comp.fonts is not a binaries
newsgroup so you won't find it uploaded by anyone here.
A long way? I mean, to the average Microsoft Word user? Sure they have their
differences, but they're clearly based on the same "twentieth century
geometric sanserif" design. For the original poster, I thought it to be a
good suggestion.
