2: How is it three times faster -- to launch? Your Fusion setup is screwed
up if programs are running three times slower..
3: SoftMac doesn't print, get you online, show more than 256 colors, or read
a PC Zip.
Apart from that, it's great!

And yes, basically I'm interested in borrowing it. It's actually quite
serious for me now as I'm applying for several jobs now and two of the
companies are very mac centric, so I'd like to be able to use a mac
emulator. By far the best emulator I have is basilisk II, and remember the
version of fusion I have is 1.2 not 2.0 (and yes, I paid for it, I stupidly
bought it from a friend who was disenchanted with it), but the cpu, fpu and
graphics cores of softmac are much faster, test faster, are obviously faster
on screen, so I'd like to have them. As we all know, differnet machines and
setups run different emulators at different speeds, and for me softmac is
the best choice. And yes, it does print and show more than 256 colors - and
I don't care if it doesn't read a pc zip. As far as getting on the net
goes, I don't know about that. I know basilisk gets me on the net through
my cable modem at great speed, but I was hoping for a little more emulation
power on my Pentium II.
Thanks for your feedback though......

Fusion 2 is no faster than 1.2 . Try using The SoftMac demo System folder
in a Fusion hardfile and see how they compare.
>And yes, it [SoftMac] does print and show more than 256 colors
The demo? Without powerprint? Or are you assuming it prints because the FAQ
sez it does? Gemulator is mighty low on the credibility sweepstakes at the
moment.
You may be the only person on record who can get more than 256 colors! For
more on these, c'mom tohttp://www.delphi.com/macwindos
Darek Mihocka of Emulators Inc. has a nasty attitude and his products are
full of bugs. He is a liar who would rather verbaly abuse his customers then
help them out. I don't care if he ever gets his Macintosh emulators working
correctly, I will never support him by buying his product. He has abused too
many people
(customers and non-customers) and bragged and lied about what his SoftMac
is capable of.
"Almost" everyone here or on the Macintosh emulation mailing lists would
agree with me - Darek and SoftMac is best avoided.

I tried one, unofficiallly. It didn't work! I trashed it. No, I wouldn't
Warez it.
Hey, if it ever works I'll buy it! Liking him is not the question. But he's
been feeding us BS since the end of July.
If anyone has a working copy, he's not been heard from on this NG or on the
various emulator Lists and Forums, one of which I run at
