I just downloaded the PC64 and have started testing out various d64
images. I've had good luck with most games so far, but I seem to have
trouble with all of the Electronic Arts releases because of their loaders.

On the BARD'S TALE games and on MAIL ORDER MONSTERS, I basically just get
the EA loader-- then the game hangs. I can bail out with ESC, but
I can't seem to get the game loaded.

Has anyone here got more crafty about loading .d64 files using this
emulator? I would appreciate any help...

Bill,
I'll mess around with my copies a bit and see what they show, but I've
had the most luck with CCS64 by far. You may wish to give it a try.
As a fellow William Gibson fan, I feel that I must point out an error
in your signature: "Senor enjoys any number of means of manifestation" was
said by Paco, in Count Zero, not Neuromancer. Though I think Neuromancer is
his best book... Just thought I'd mention it.

Sincerely,

Fast loaders are hell on emulators. C64S handles most of them okay if you
run it in full 1541 emulation. Alas, PC64 does not support full 1541 emulation,
so you're stuck.

Presumably, CCS64 will also run them, but you need monster system o' doom
to run it. Try C64S first.
