I've been using Applewin v1.25.0.3 for some time under Windows 7. It
always came up in "windowed" mode with a reasonable-sized window (about
1/2 screen height and about 1/3 screen width).

I recently installed it on a Windows 10 machine, and now it's "windowed"
mode is full screen height and 3/4 screen width--almost "full screen"!

How can I configure it to open a smaller window so I can have other
things (like documents) open on the desktop at the same time?

Sounds like it's in double size mode.
Ctrl-F6 (or F6, depending upon version) toggles it.

Thanks, Brian! Ctl-F6 did the job!

I couldn't find anything about this in the help file (and there's no
section on display configuration, so I went spelunking).

It is buried under:

Help > Using the Keyboard:

**Function Key F6 + Ctrl:**
This PC function key combo toggles between 1x and 2x window sizes

I see that I should have searched for "window".

Thanks!

Cool! I did not know that AppleWin had a "Half Size" = 1/4 the area of "Full Size."

On my Windows 7 PC, F6 toggles from "Maximized" to "Normal" and Ctrl+F6 toggles "Normal" from "Full Size" to "Half Size" and both F6 and Ctrl+f6 return AppleWin (version 1.26.2.3) from "Maximized" to whichever "Normal" size it was last set to.--It would be better if each command returned AppleWin to its appropriate size for the command used.
