I had some time to make an Intel binary of OpenEmulator 1.0.4! This one is
better than the PowerPC, because it has working video shader and hardware
library. The only missing feature is the disk drive sound. Apple II sound
works! Just not the disk drive seeking sounds.

This is a 64-bit Intel binary, meaning that it will not work on the original
MacBook and other Macs with the Intel Core Solo.

I compiled it on OS X 10.6. It may work on OS X 10.5, but I have not tested
it yet. It should also work on newer Mac OS X systems, 10.7 and 10.8.

Email me if you want a copy. It is 3.7 MB.

You can send me a link to download, please (both ppc and Intel version).
I tried myself to build on my Macbook (10.7/XCode 3.2) without success
(complain about NSsomething missing). Didn't take really time to see
what happened.

I will.

Also, the Intel version works on 10.7; I am running it right now.

Sucessfully built on my MacBook using XCode 4.5 -need 10.7 SDK-. There
is little change to do for 10.5 compatibility, wich may be added to the
sources.

I wouldn't mind a copy of the latest version of Open Emulator.

Gotcha.

Also, I tested this Intel binary on a 10.5 system. Crash! The problem is
that I compiled on a 10.6 system which has a newer version of libxml2. It's
dynamically linked, so when I try to run OpenEmulator on a 10.5 system which
has an older libxml2, the program crashes.

The solution that I've thought of so far is to statically link against
libxml2.

The PPC binary of OpenEmulator doesn't work correctly on my Intel 10.5
system, so that's not an option, either.

What has been everyone's experience with the Apple /// support? I
cannot get it to boot a disk.

I've been working with Marc on that for a while - it's not ready to boot
SOS yet. (Marc does the coding, I do testing on real-world hardware for
him.)

Mr. Phares was having some trouble getting this binary to work because he
has a 2006 Macbook Pro with an Intel Core Duo, which is a 32-bit CPU.

I will compile a 32-bit Intel binary ASAP.

Done. I will be using the lipo tool shortly to make a Universal binary
containing:

32-bit PowerPC
32-bit Intel
64-bit Intel

Also, the 32-bit Intel binary is statically linked against libxml2, so it
may work on 10.5 systems. I will test this later.

Hi, have been desperately searching for a PowerPC copy of this for months without any success... can only find the intel or newer version... is there any chance anyone could point me in the right direction please? Would be so grateful...
