Note: Currently Virtu is probably only of interest to .NET developers.
(E.g. You will need to get the source code and build it yourself.)

Virtu is an Apple IIe emulator for the .NET Framework using C#.
It was written by Sean Fausett with a little help from me.

Virtu runs on:
- Windows, using WPF, XNA or Silverlight
- Mac OS, using Silverlight
- XBox 360, using XNA

This week Virtu shares top billing with Bing on MS's Channel 9. ; - )

To find out more and download the GPL source code, head to:

Cheers,
Nick.

Will there eventually be a regular version of the emulator that I can
simply download and install on my Mac Mini and run without having to
know how to build the emulator? What differences are there between
this emulator and the ones already out there?

Just curious,
Dean

The main difference is that Virtu currently has _less_ features than
the many other great emulators available for Mac OS and Windows. For
instance it doesn't have sound yet because this is difficult to do in
a platform agnostic way. And we can't distribute the binary because
the ROMs have to be available at build time.

However, for XBox 360 Virtu is the first option I'm aware of.

Like I said, it's mainly of interest to developers - as a proof-of-
concept and open sourced so future efforts can use it.

Cheers,
Nick.
