Hi,

Here's a new build of AppleWin which fixes a few issues:
http://prdownload.berlios.de/applewin/AppleWin1.23.0.0.zip

As usual, if anyone spots any problems then either post here or file a bug report on berlios:
https://developer.berlios.de/bugs/?group_id=6117

This is a release candidate for a full public release.

Tom

You certainly don't seem to need any help. Thanks from me Tom. I'll grab a
copy of course. I love AppleWin.

The paint method [Bug #018852] also occurs sometimes when switching back
and forth out of the debugger on my older system which was at SP2 but it
wasn't consistent enough to reproduce at my end. I just grabbed the main
window and dragged it around to erase the junk if it happened. XP is old.

My XP won't yet run VS10 C++.

Talk later,

Bill

I'll take a look at the code to see if anything looks similar for this code path.

>My XP won't yet run VS10 C++.

It looks like this combo is just about supported (assuming VS10 is the same as VS10-Express C++):
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2726390/vs2010-and-windows-xp-sp3
(This was the first Google hit, and I didn't read any others.)

But it could be borderline. If you are on XP, then I'd recommend dropping back to VS2008 (VS9). For AppleWin there's still VS2008 (VS9) .sln & vcproj.

I mean it actually won't run and knocked-out all my file associations in the
meantime. I scribbled something about that... "exception has been thrown by
the target of an invocation"...

I have Windows 7 on 2 of my machines but this is my classic development
machine so I wanted to install the AppleWin build with everything else. I
have a licenced version of VS 8 but may try a licenced VS 10 on here, but
seems like a waste if it's cr*p.

By the way, I have been running AppleWin 1.23 without problem on XP steadily
for about 20 hours or so and it works fine for me, including the resize
stuff.

Thanks.

Bill

I am a bit confused.

According to http://applewin.berlios.de ,
is 1.20 the actual stable release? Or is the page deprecated?

Thx,
Dietmar

I've now updated the home-page to reflect v1.23.0 as the current version. (I also updated the help AppleWin.chm and History.txt files.)

AppleWin ROCKS!

Thanks to your ongoing development of AppleWin, there has never been a
better time to enjoy the Apple //e from the comfort of a Windows'
Computer... in fact with AppleWin just getting better and better, there may
have never been a better time (and there may never be a better time) to be
an "Apple II enthusiast" for a Windows user!

The efforts in updating AppleWin's high-quality documentation are
non-trivial as well!

Personal congratulations and thank you to you and your team (past and
present)!

Bill

Thank you very much for the effort and the great software!

I *would*, except it insists on fullscreening on the main monitor instead
of the monitor it's on. (A lot of emulators have this issue. SNES9X is an
exception.)

Necro'ing and old thread ...

F6 now toggles between 1x zoom and 2x zoom in windowed mode.

The 2x zoom makes the emulator display twice as big so it is easier to see on high resolution displays like 1920x1080.
