We have vim installed on our system with +viminfo, but I want to disable
the feature for me. What do I need to add to my viminfo file so that
the .viminfo file is on created at all.
I tried fillowing commands in .vimrc file, but it still create .viminfo
file.
set viminfo=
set viminfo=""
Here is the version of vim I am running on AIX 4.3.3:

Sorry to barge in a bit late, but it confuses me that this made a
difference.
With most ex commands (including :set), a " marks the start of a
comment, so the commands above is equivalent to ':set viminfo=' and
':set viminfo=""'.
Did you change anything else?
