Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is a beautiful coastal garden city in South
China situated just across the border from Hong Kong.
The conference provides an international forum for scientists,
engineers, and users to exchange and share their experiences, new
ideas, and latest research results on all aspects of parallel and
distributed systems. Papers accepted for ICPADS 2009 conference and
workshops will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press. All accepted
papers will be included in IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI.
Papers are solicited. Topics of particular interest include, but are
not limited to :

* Parallel and Distributed Applications and Algorithms
* High Performance Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
* Multi-core and Multithreaded Architectures
* Power-aware Computing
* Distributed and Parallel Operating Systems
* Resource Management and Scheduling
* Peer-to-Peer Computing
* Cluster and Grid Computing
* Web-based Computing and Service-Oriented Architecture
* Communication and Networking Systems
* Wireless and Mobile Computing
* Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks
* Security and Privacy
* Dependable and Trustworthy Computing and Systems
* Real-Time and Multimedia Systems
* Performance Modeling and Evaluation

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers presenting original and unpublished work are invited and will
be evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness,
and clarity of exposition. Submitted papers should be formatted in a
two-column IEEE Computer Society format and should not exceed eight
pages including figures and references. More details about submissions
can be found at : http://www.comp.polyu.edu.hk/conference/icpads09/ps.html.
Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the
conference, and present the paper. There will be Best Paper
Awards to recognize distinguished research work.

WORKSHOPS

The workshops will provide an opportunity for researchers and industry
practitioners to report their work-in-progress on emerging issues.
Prospective workshop organizers are invited to submit workshop
proposals on foundational and emerging topics in areas relevant
to parallel and distributed systems. A workshop proposal should
include a proper title, an overview, workshop scope, information
about the program, organizors of the workshop, a tentative list
of members of the program committee, history of the workshop (if
held previously by the same team), and short bios of all organizors.
Workshop proposals should be submitted to the workshop chair
Prof. Guojun Wang (csgj...@gmail.com) with the subject
"ICPADS 2009 WORKSHOP PROPOSAL".
