Guys,

I need to set up a tunnel between two Cisco boxes, the remote box
dials up to the Internet.

I know how to setup a tunnel between two fixed IP address sites, but
not when one site has a dynamically assigned IP.

Cisco's documentation has this VPDN thing which seems like what I
need, HOWEVER, their diagram suggests the tunnel is between the ISP
and my data center and not remote-to-data center end-to-end.
Meaning, the ISP has to specifically support this service.

OK, since I've not found no further information on this subject, is
VPDN a reality or one of those not-ready-for-prime-time deal?

thanks for all inputs

Look into VPN using IPSEC (IP Security) where client software tunnels
through the net without the ISP being involved, to a router that is a
server. Cisco has a client called CiscoSecure that would run on the
workstations through the remote router. Also, see comp.dcom.vpn. That's all
I know!
