Does anyone have any experience of this?

Take a look at http://www.openss7.org
Tobias
You have two options here. If as I believe you already have some kind
of ISDN CTI application with a card then you can buy an SS7 card and
stack and develop the interworking. Companies that provide SS7 card /
stack solutions are:
Telesoft Technologies
Brooketrout
Dialogic
Trillium
No doubt there are others. SS7 support will vary on the protocol and
country variant you require.
Your other option if you are under a time crunch is to buy an off the
shelf boxed protocol converter to put in line in front of your PRI
interface. Some people who provide these are:
Telesoft Technologies
Data Kinetics
Kronus
Again there may be others.
I hope this helps!

Before you buy.
