I am looking for additional manufacturers/integrators of equipment
oriented to providing physician answering service within a hospital.
Specifically I need equipment/software capable of date/time dependent
on-call scheduling, (ability to automatically adjust physician or team on
call including pager and telephone access, based upon ad hoc but previously
entered schedule), radio paging interface (in-house and carrier provided),
integration with PBX (Rolm) console position, billing and other functions.
System needs to have high level of redundancy and/or backup capability.

I am already talking with Ring Medical and like most of what I hear, but
would like to talk to a few more potential vendors.

This may be off the mark, but Startel offers equipment to the answering
service industry which includes lots of customization and interfaces.
Their number used to be 1-800-STARTEL. I hope it still is. The last of
their equipment I had contact with was their 2800 which could handle
pager numbers, voicemail, teleprinter outputs, custom screens for each
client for fill-in-the-blank capabilities, etc.
