I think the problem could be with any long distance number, but the office
mostly calls the one new area code, so that's what I hear about mostly.
Anyway, lots of complaints, so I dialed a known good number from a display
phone. I found that line 1 gives me an error recording quite often, but not
100% of the time. If I use a butt set on line 1 ahead of the phone
equipment, the calls go thru every time OK.
If I dial from a single line set, and use 61*1 to direct access line 1, I
get recordings very often. Since the trouble happens on both digital display
phones and single line sets, I don't think the trouble is in the 4DMR tone
receiver card.
Next I tried switching 2 of the 4BWC line cards with each other. After a
couple of days, I'm hearing complaints again. Not sure which way to go now.
Any ideas ???
Thanks.
Jim

> Try programming the trunk group to dialing group 0.
Using Dialing group 0 removes all intelligence and numbering
plan info from a trunk group. It is normally used for tie
lines to other PBX's. Using DG 0 may have undesirable
side effects, e.g. toll restriciton and speed dial may
no longer work.
