Back Ground:

We have an office with 150 employees. Every employee has it own ISDN
phone, and modem line. The modem lines are used very infrequent. The
phone system is CENTEX. Currently we pay $25.00 - $35.00 per month per
modem line. Every desktop PC has its own modem. The 90% of the modems
are only used for outbound dialing only.

Question:

Is there a device on the market that has an inpute of 10-40 analog lines
and can output 150 modem stations. This would basically be a cheap PBX
without any feature and functionality. This device allow a user
that wanted to use their modem take the next available open analog line.

Thanks,

Paul;

Are you PC's connected by a LAN? If not, look into a good LAN setup
like Novell or Lantastic. Both will allow you to set up a
communications server with a modem pool for your users. Plus you'd get
additional benefits like printer & file sharing.

Get you a Rose Electronics Catalogue from somewhere!

I see they list themselves in the cheap ads in the back of
PC Week and other national mags.

In the end, they make great boxes, but the jobs they help
in are *always* the underpaid junk cheap-assed jobs I hate
the worst.
