Actually, if someone does answer one or more of his questions (and damn
good ones I might add), I would apprecite it if they would reply both to
the group and to his e-mail. I would like to know the answers to some of
those questions too.

please CC any info on this stuff to me as well.....it seems rather interesting.
I've heard a lot about the Nortel Millenium phones, but never actually seen
one..

I would guess that the Reverse White Pages database used to retrieve the
Caller Name is served by replicated SCPs and each SCP has a different copy
of the same information, the one in lower case is the backup SCP for the
service and is only invoked when the target SCP with upper case information
is off-line. I wonder if this is intentional?
