I was working on an old OPT 21 the other day and noticed in LD90 there are
no entries for either the NXX's or NPA's. Does anyone know how this works?
I always get stuck with service tickets to add new NXX's and NPA's (damn
cell phones) in newer switches. Any how is there an easier way to input a
variable for the entries?
i.e.
new
net
ac1
npa
18xx
12xx
13xx.........

nxx
2xx
3xx....

Thanks!!!!

Brian,

Are you asking how to batch in data to a switch? Or why that particular
Option21 had no NXXs or NPAs? There are ways of scripting to a switch using
ProComm Plus. In addition, it is possible to use Mail Merge functions from a
spreadsheet to create complex scripts. As to the missing NXXs and NPAs, have
you looked to see whether they were all programmed as SPNs? Just a thought.

I just built a script to enter all the NPA's from 1200 to 1999 with deny
976 and what ever others you want to deny. Then go back and take out the
800,888,411,911 ect. and add them to your spn's. Then do the same to
your
NXX tables. It sure cuts down on constantly adding NPA's. Especially if
you take care of multi switches. I don't have very much time on opt 21
so
this may not be the best way to go for you but this work for me on Opt
61c
and opt 11. Hope this was of some help.
