I assume you have ruled out the possibility of replacing your multimode
interfaces/ appliques with single mode ones. If so:
A better scheme, guaranteed to work well would be to use Cisco fddi
concentrators on either side with WS-C1512 Single-mode FDDI A/B port cards
to span the extended distance (works upto 18.6 miles/ 30 kms/ 24 dBm power
budget). The multimode DAS interfaces of your local fddi equipment could then
plug into multimode M ports of these concentrators.
However, if you insist on using Multimode to Single-mode converters, here
are contacts/ addresses of some suppliers. I'm sure there are others.

Most models have worked with Cisco routers and some haven't. Some models that
worked are no longer in production and have been replaced with newer versions.
