I have setup a couple of routers with a NW 4 server on the local LAN
of each and an ISDN BRI connection between them.
I have set up static routes and static SAPs to avoid unnecessary
traffic. I have set up filters to eliminate SAP and RIP traffic
over the ISDN
Unfortunately the link stays up almost all the time.
Using debug I have ascertained that the broadcast RIP and SAP
traffic is not being forwarded. I have also temporarily turned
off time sync and NDS services. The only traffic now travelling
between the routers are a couple of packets about once per minute. I
can't remember the exact size, but about 34 or 36 bytes.
This traffic is directed from one server internal IPX network directly
to the other.
Any ideas what it is? How to disable it, filter it out or spoof it?
Please Email any ideas to DAn...@dcs-ltd.co.uk since I can't get news
at work.
TIA
