The suggestion in the documentation is that it should be possible to use a PC
Voice over IP program to place voice calls into a 3640 Voice Port providing
the PC Software is using the H.323 (I think) protocol. Has anyone tried this
yet or know how to do it and with what PC software?

I tried it with Microsoft Netmeeting 2.1 on Windows NT. For the
configuring NetMeeting see:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios113ed/113t/113t_1/voip/config.htm

Only thre setings in the software. You can call from one PC to a other
or from one PC over the Cisco to a normal phone number. NetMeeting can
only use a PCM-Modulation (G.711) so you need 64Bit/s or more for one
phone call.

Thanks very much for that. It is precisely what I want to be able to do so I'll gather the
documentation and give it a go.

64Kbps is fine for me. It's all local traffic at this stage.
