Website does not give exact time..

Cisco::
Each switch in the VTP domain sends these periodic global
configuration advertisements from each trunk port to a reserved
multicast address. Neighboring switches receive these advertisements
and update their VTP and VLAN configurations as necessary.

Cisco press book "Cisco Lan Switching" has it listed as 5 minutes. This is
the default.

Andrew,

There are three kinds of VTP advertisements:

a) Summary advertisements.
These inform other Catalysts what they think to be the current
revision number and VTP domain.
They are sent every five minutes by default.
When there are VLAN changes on the network, a summary
advertisement is sent out immediately, followed by subset
advertisements.

b) Subset advertisements
These advertisements send out specific information about the
configured VLAN's. E.g. name, status and type.

c) Advertisement request
This a request sent from a client to a server. these are
generated when a Catalyst was reset, the VTP domain was
changed or when it receives a summary advertisement with a
higher configuration number.

HTH.

With kind regards,
