ip nat inside source static <inIP> <outIP> extendable

We're using IOS 11.2-2.1 on CISCO 7507 and using NAT.
I've found keyword 'extendable' in:
ip nat inside source static <inIP> <outIP>
statement, but haven't found any explanation in documentation (UniverCD at
www.cisco.com).
Can somebody tell me what is this keyword for ?
Indeed it helped me to solve problem with static NAT translation, but i'd
like to know how it works...
