All,

when enabling traps under the premise that it will report back up to
some Network management entity, there are two commands which you could
configure to enable this:

snmp-server host <host> <community stg> <trap-type>
snmp-server enable <trap-type> <trap-option>

I need to enable the following trap-types: config, frame-relay, envmon
and syslog.

Question: Do I need to state the traps with both commands or do I simply
use the first line alone
and state them there: (ex. snmp-server 12.14.14.14 public config
frame-relay envmon syslog)

comments???

Here's what you get when you just specify 'snmp ena traps' and
'snmp host x.x.x.x communitystring', if that helps - jc

snmp-server engineID local 0000000902F00D5054G7ABC1
snmp-server enable traps snmp
snmp-server enable traps isdn call-information
snmp-server enable traps hsrp
snmp-server enable traps config
snmp-server enable traps entity
snmp-server enable traps envmon
snmp-server enable traps bgp
snmp-server enable traps rsvp
snmp-server enable traps frame-relay
snmp-server enable traps rtr
snmp-server enable traps syslog
