Do you use Viber with or without google play services? You can use Viber without play services, but the cover must always be open, because there are no push notifications. What has certainly changed for us is that the Android image is signed. I personally will not update to 4.3 until the issue is cleared up, because I use the app daily.
I have installed Viber (Rakuten Viber) 7.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS on HP laptop 4PN36EA#BED. The audio is working perfectly, the video from the other side is working while on my side the camera is not recognized even more in settings for Video: "Hardware not found". Interesting is that if I start the Ubuntu application "Cheese" the camera is working without problems.

I either get an error while downloading the message, or an audio can't be played error. It tells me to make sure no other audio is being played at the moment but it isn't. So I can't hear my messages. Anyone else having this issue or a fix?

Lol, this post is over two years old, but it solved my problem. Well, to be more specific, it solved my dad's problem. I'm visiting for Christmas, and he mentioned that his Facebook Messenger app had stopped playing the default notification sound when he would get a message. I'd looked at every single notification setting on his phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but nothing worked. Finally, I googled "samsung galaxy note 9 facebook messenger sound not working" and this thread was the 4th search result. Sure enough, he had the Clean Master app installed on his phone. I uninstalled it and he now has sound with his Facebook Messenger notifications again. Thank you for your suggestion!
If you are a Viber user then here is some good news for you. The app recently got an update, which brings inline playback of YouTube videos. It means that now you will be able to watch a YouTube video link within the chat box. The video shows up with a play icon on its thumbnail, which starts playing when user taps on it.
As you can spot in the screenshots above, the update does a major favor to Viber by offering YouTube support. Now you can watch YouTube video on Viber without leaving the chat box. The video playback is not limited to the thumbnail size, users can also expand the view, and also pause the video whenever they wish.

With this feature, Viber has yet again proved that it is way ahead of WhatsApp who is yet to bring this inline video playback functionality onboard. I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra. For the last few months, it has started randomly switching the audio output, but within whatever device it's playing. For example, if I'm watching a YouTube video on Bluetooth headphones, they will suddenly go silent, then pick back up but with distorted audio. Any attempt to change the volume displays the media volume bar (eighth-note symbol instead of the Bluetooth symbol) and doesn't change the volume. The headphone buttons also start taking on the functions of a call, so pressing the pause button mutes my microphone but doesn't pause the music. If I go to the Bluetooth settings, and turn off the "Connected for Calls" option, it seems to fix it temporarily.

Wayland is now the default and it works much better than in Ubuntu 21.04. I use the new Nvidia graphics 510 driver and I encountered zero issues with it.Given this new driver and the new Kernel 5.15, I have heard that Ubuntu should also perform much better in games. But I do not play games and cannot confirm that. If you have tried games in Ubuntu 22.04, please share your experience in the comments below.
This time I tried to switch to the legacy mode in my BIOS and Ubuntu 22.04 finally booted. I installed it without a bootloader because I have several Linux distros installed on this laptop, so I could use the Debian bootloader to boot Ubuntu.
They have problems with inheriting the desktop theme. For example, I tried two versions of Kdenlive in Ubuntu 22.04. The snap version of Kdenlive the changes cursor theme and makes all fonts smaller, while the deb version of Kdenlive inherits the desktop theme without issues. I have not tested the performance of these two Kdenlive versions in Ubuntu 22.04 but recalling my previous tests, the snap version of Kdenlive was considerably slower during editing and rendering and even crashed.
Overall, Ubuntu 22.04 brings many attractive improvements and the problems I mentioned are not devastating. But given that there are other Linux distros without these problems, I would not look at Ubuntu 22.04 as my daily driver.
They seemed baffled this time. After waiting for most of the day for some workable solutions, I finally just rebooted the system, playing a hunch that the first, failed, installation might have left things sufficiently out of sync to interfere with initialization of the networking.
