1. what is ASON ? where it is used ?
2. WHAT IS DAISY CHAIN ? How and where it is used ?

ASON is Automatically Switched Optical Network, see ITU-T G.8080.
It's a control plan to automate the configuration of connections
in a transport network.

Daisy chain refers to a specific arrangement to connect circuits:
the output of one circuit is connect to the input of the next circuit
and so on, such one single signal can be used to test all circuits
at once.
