I have a 4 -digit PIN lock set up in the host device (remote). When I get such a lock screen (black/gray screen with moving white padlock sign), I open keyboard from Team Viewer enter the PIN from my device's keyboard (GBoard) and hit "Enter". There is no visual sign that the PIN is being entered. It is unlocked a few seconds after I hit "Enter".

hi, i think i'm going crazy. i need to remote control my android device (i'm trying with s8, huawei p8 and samsung j3) and on all of this devices i got the SAME PROBLEM! i start teamviewer host (i cannot put hands on device cuz i'm really far) and for some minutes the connection is ok, after some time the connection runs out. But the problem is that I cannot connect to the phone when is locked, i tried everything reading past topics but nothing, i tried to optimize the background settings and battery settings, but after some time the phone go offline and i cannot connect anymore from teamviewer on the pc. i think that is a problem of background app management. i need to be able to start teamviewer host and connect after 2 hours, but this app is fully bugged. i found topics of some years ago, possible that a software that cost thousands of dollars is bugged on its main function? and after many yrs there are not solutions?

I'm having the same problem for a long time with several devices. Every time I face this problem is when I control my parents devices and they watch the screen. The devices are never locked and TM host app is always alive. I guess there are some other causes.

I have been trying to access my daughter's phone, but most times time just keeps spinning until it times out.. it works for a few days and then it will be down for lime 4days. The device isn't locked and the host app is live. So can you please fix this ongoing problem

It is now 2023 and reading the comments it seems this problem has been going on since 2017. Why hasn't it been fixed. I bought a Moto G Play 2023 and it didn't work. From reading the older articles about mobile offline it suggested that Samsung mobile works better. I am having the same issue with the Samsung. How can teamviewer enticed users to buy their paid subscription if the free does not work. I am glad I tried it first before buying. [removed per Community Guidelines]

The problem is that the teamviewer_linux_x64.deb, the package that was aimed to 64-bit systems, uses a obsolete package that tried to achieve multiarch previously in Debian based systems called ia64-libs. Although, that package scheme changed and now Teamviewer distribute the native build for both i386 and amd64 architecture, as they don't need anymore multiarch.

Quite often such an issue would be one of permissions. After the error occurs, or while the program is trying to run, what user is it running as (who tried to start the teamviewerd daemon)? When do you see from:

ls -ld /var/run

ls -ld /var/run/teamviewerd.*

I tried to deploy the TeamViewer host via intune following the official guide. At first everything seemed fine, installs were pending and now some are still pending but some have gotten an installation error 0x80070667. I researched that error and Microsoft says it maps to ERROR_INVALID_COMMAND_LINE so it looks like there is something wrong with the command line parameters? This got me stumped because I carefully followed the guide and still got this error.

After a lot more researching, googling, diagnosing and experimenting I found the solution myself by accident. All the official guides and older tips, tricks and forum posts tell you to use ASSIGNMENTOPTIONS="--grant-easy-access" but I tried "just for the heck of it" without the quotes so I used ASSIGNMENTOPTIONS=--grant-easy-access and it deployed without problems and the easy access/unattended access was enabled and all my host customizations and policies worked like a charm.

i had the same problem with this plugin, but i have seen, that the parsing is not working anymore. TeamViewer is generating id longer than 9 signs, so the displayed TeamViewer ID in OMV UI is not valid. I have changed a code file and everything is fine:

Console command: nano /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/teamviewerhost.inc

Replace the following line:

OLD : $cmd = 'teamviewer info grep "TeamViewer ID:" tr -d "[:cntrl:]" tr -d " " tail -c9';

If you happen to manage several different host module configurations in your or multiple organizations, you might consider creating different pkginfo files referencing your installer which uses the above postinstall script to write the desired extended attribute.

I was hoping to integrate a TeamViewer button into my Web Application that allowed my users to initiate a remote connection to a pre-defined host using their local instance of TeamViewer installed on each user's computer. However, this has proposed issues and seems a lot more complicated than I first anticipated.

I have attempted to call from a URL and pass in the device id, which does in fact work (not seamlessly as it always opens up a new tab), however, the user is prompted everytime for their AD credentials, despite the fact that we have set pre-entered passwords on a lot of our hosts. This therefore, is a time consuming solution and not really the ideal approach.

Ultimately, I am trying to allow users to click on a button which launches a remote control session to a pre-defined host and pass-through the password details (or make use of the pre-entered password details).

The last thing we needed to do was change the logo in the host version, change the title, and the text to match the Windows side as well as disable the ability to close the host client. The following files require modification in order to achieve this:

TeamViewer Host gets installed on e.g. a Server as a service, and you can connect to it from remote anytime you need. Normal teamviewer full edition connects people by "running" the teamviewer software themselves (having to run them manually each time), or to connect to TeamViewer Host servers.

I have added 5 new RPIs in my office to Teamviewer that show up as online in the console but I cannot access them from a remote network. I could access each of the 5 newly added ones in the office network. All of these RPIs are clones but I did sudo apt purge teamviewer-host on the first installation so each one has its own teamviewer-ID. The only thing that I did differently was installing hostapd:

When the remote session gets connected and Admin takes the remote control, on the end-user device, the screen will go black with the TeamViewer host present at the bottom-right corner of the screen. End-user can terminate the session at will by closing the TeamViewer host.
