We recently Migrated an access database onto a SQL server. Upon completion we began testing the database using the front end access database we had (Our previous setup involved two access files, one for front end and one for back end.) We almost immediately received the error.

This problem occurs if fields with a bit data type in the SQL Server-based database have been left blank. Microsoft Access interprets blank fields as fields that contain Null values, and the Jet database engine does not release them. As a result, the records remain locked and are not available for deletion.

Because WaterGems also happens to require the Microsoft Access Database engine it can cause a conflict with the gINT 2010 32-bit Access database engine. This may require installing in a particular order or Manually installing it Silently. In the case where you cannot repair the Access Database engine the easiest option is to let gINT install it Silently. See option 2 (+) gINT Startup ISSUE : gINT Doesn't Open- No Splash Screen- but Shows in Task Manager - gINT Keynetix Wiki - OpenGround gINT Keynetix - Bentley Communities

I don't know if I should post here, or start a new topic. I am receiving the same error. I have Toad for Oracle 13.1 64 bit, and MS Office 2016 64 bit. Fresh installs of both. I have two Oracle installations, 12.2 64 bit, and 11.? 32 bit which I require for SAP Business Object IDT. I don't know where to look or what to look for to see how the products connect together to be able to export the data to any form of an access database.

I have a problem where I downloaded Microsoft access database engine 2016 64 bit which rendered Microsoft Access unopenable. I have the slow Insider build. Does anyone have a solution? The download is necessary for an operation in another program.

George Hepworth That's correct, I downloaded Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable The Access version is Microsoft Access for Office 365 MSO 32-bit. The application itself fails to open. When the database engine is installed the following error message appears:

I needed both the 32-bit and the 64-bit adapters to cover my various use cases. I started by installing the 64-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable. If you have ever attempted this, you know there is a secret. You cannot install the 2010 Access database engine with a different processing architecture (bittedness) from your Office install (or install both versions of the 2010 Access database engine) without a workaround. If you try, you will get an error message.

A client has an Microsoft Access database where they save their products. To access the database now you have to login via VPN and open Microsoft Office Access.

I need to access this database from a PHP script running on another server.

An access database is not a server, it's just a file. To access it, your server will need access to the filesystem on which it resides. Or, if you want to set up an SQL server on the same machine as the access database, it will still need access to the folder in which the file is stored.
