TVS50 Message Notification mis-dials

I have a KX-TVS50 VM system and a KX-TA624 switch.

Everythings seems to be working fine, except Message Waiting
Notification.

I have set everything up correctly to use this feature. To test it, I
called in and left a message on my voice mail. Then I check the PC
terminal to see what number is being dial for notification. The
number dialed is not the number that I programmed! It is just a
little off...usually 1 or 2 of the digits is incorrect. I tried
inserting plenty of pauses to see if I could get it dial correctly.
Still no luck. The '8' is always dialed as a '*'.

Does anyone know anything about how I can get this feature working?
