MRTG use alias as file name not interface

Hi

Fairly new to MRTG and just struggling to get the syntax right to allow files to be created using the interface alias rather than the device ip_interface number.

This is on a Cisco 2950 Switch that lists an interface as:
--snpd: SNMP-Co...@X.X.X.X: -> 24 -> ifAlias = LEASED LINE ROUTER

But the output filenames are:- X.X.X.X_24.html/log etc.

I'v tried running cfgmaker using ifdesc=alias but it does not make a difference. The only two that I have found make any difference to the file names are ifref=name and ifref=descr.

Am I missing something obvious?
