I have ATTBI aka Comcast. And I have 2 cable modems and I want to connect
them together to make a dual connection. I have a network Switch (Belkin 5
port). I have a dual LAN mobo (Asus A7N8X Deluxe), but i'm not using the
other lan port at the moment. And I have plenty of cat5/6 cables and
regular "tv" cables.

#1. Is this legal ?
#2. If it's not, can they detect it ?
#3. how do I do it ?

Thx in advanced guys :)

This would be perfectly legal with your ISP's permission.

They won't need to detect it. If you want both cable modems active at the
same time, you'll need their cooperation - the modems must be "provisioned"
by them.

I would imagine the first thing you would need to do is call the ISP and
subscribe to service for the second modem. The technical implementation
depends greatly on your software setup. I would suggest googling for
something like load balancing, multiple internet connections, etc.

Start with 2) -- of course they can detect it, because in order to work,
the ISP's network would have to know the modem's MAC. Basically, in order
to get a second modem to work, you have to subscribe to a second account.

You might just want to contact the ISP to see what the cost is for a
higher cap on one modem. It may be so close to the 2-modem cost to make
the wiring hassle not worth it. IMO, writing a larger check is easier
than any alternative.
