I'm not fishing for a debate to defend one product vs the other -
just merely looking for 'impressions/opinions' of the MAX vs the USR -

is port density the most important or only issue here?
I had not heard about the TNT ??

what about the redundant power and hot-swap -
don't these things ever fail?
how do you work on them without taking the whole chassis down?

Actually, the Max4004 supports six 12-port modem cards, for a total
of 72 modems.

The Max also includes an optional redundant power supply, although
it requires a chassis that is twice the height of the standard chassis.

something like 288 modem ports in a chassis only 14 inches high!
