My RBOC wants to know how many digits they need to outpulse to my Cisco
4500M with a PRI Interface. Before I ask Cisco, I thought I'd ask the Net:

Is this a non-standard specfication? Do different PRI units accept different
numbers of outpulsed digits, or is the RBOC just yanking my chain with a
stupid question?

Just nit-picking here a litte but I think the telco will still insist
on a consistent digit length, even though they probably don't need to,
their tariffs may be different for *outpulsing* four digits vs. ten.
If you specify ten digits, the caller can dial seven and the RBOC
will attach the area code for *outpulsing* a consistent ten. IOWs,
it probably makes sense to ask the provider what is the least costly
method of *outpulsing" on a PRI.
