Hi Everyone,

It would seem my Bitsurfr Pro has dropped dead today. All i get from
it is a read LS light blinking slowly. It refuses to accept AT
commands but will echo back when i type.

Has anyone had this happen and solved it without having to return it
for repair or replacement? I can't afford much down time on my ISDN
line!!

The response from Adam sounds like the best place to start. Let me
know if that works for you.

Try switching dip-switch 4, and power-cycling it. That should reset it to force
it to recognize AT commands. Other than that check with your telco and make
sure nothing happened to your phone line.

Darcy,
Wanted to make sure you understood about dip switch 4.
This switch needs to be in the ON or down position when power is
applied and then put back OFF or up after the BSPro initializes,
about 10 seconds. Then try resetting all network parameters, SPIDs,
DNs, etc. The go through a network restart.

Hi Barry,

I didn't see Adam's response. So i have no idea what he suggested.

I did end up calling for Tech Support. Thats a whole other story in
itself..

Had to send it in for repair and was totally dismayed that no
'hot-swap' or 'cross-shipment' could be done even if it was to have
cost me a little bit of money. I've been with out my ISDN line for
almost a week now. (This Friday will be a week) Who knows how much
longer.

The whole bad part is in the whole thing when i ask well, how long
will it take to get it repaired/replaced once received and i get a
smart remark back 'well sooner we get it the sooner you'll get it
back'.....

To say the least this whole experience will make me think twice about
a Motorola product in the future.

Take it easy,

Darcy
