We have the Ascend Pipeline 50 and the Digi Datafire and PCIMAC Windows NT
drivers connecting up to each other and passing traffic with a single
B channel call. We were able to authenticate to the server with either
PAP or CHAP authentication enabled.

I would like to request that anyone having problems with the Digi
Datafire or PC IMAC under Windows NT that is trying to get connected to
an Ascend Router , please do the following under Windows NT 3.5:

o Turn PPP logging on in RAS:

1. Within REGEDT32, walk down the following tree:
hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\rasman\PPP.

2. Change the Logging value to a value of 1.

3. Restart Remoteaccess. The best way to be sure of this is to make
sure RasAdmin and Rasphone are not running, goto a command line
prompt and type "net stop remoteaccess", followed by "net start
remoteaccess"

o Place a call into your ISDN Internet Access Provider or the Ascend router.

o E-mail to ke...@digibd.com or Fax the contents of
\winnt35\system32\ras\ppp.log to 612-943-0579.

o Please include Your Name, Voice Number(s), Fax Number, Your E-mail Address
and the e-mail address of your Internet Provider or admin of the Ascend
Router.

o You will be contacted to help get you or your site connected to
the Ascend with the Windows NT DataFire or PC IMAC drivers.
