Hi,
I am installing capi4hylafax (api4hylafax-01.01.02) , and when I
make a test with c2faxsend receive the following error:

----------------------------------------
Try to send a fax to number 0+34928490846 in TIFF mode.
Dial and starting transfer of TIFF-File fritz_pic.tif with fine
resolution.
Connection dropped with Reason 0x34E6 (Recovery on timer expiry).
----------------------------------------

I have not found references to this error in the installation
instructions.
I have searched the news and I have not found any directly related
topic. The fax is installed in Germany (+492289356051). I would
appreciate any clue to investigate and fix this error.

Thanks in advance,

Marcos. 'wannabe'.

P.D: Thanks to Hans-Jürgen Ortmann for his help with the error I sent
in the 'Capi 2.0 Linux installation' message. In the end, the system
administrator found the cable was cut... no cable, no connection :-).

No need to search on the Web, you exactly need:
CAPI 2.0 doc (free at www.capi.org). From that you know that the 0x34xy
codes are generated by the ISDN, only passed through by CAPI. The meaning of
the actual xy value you find in ETS 300 102-1 (free at www.etsi.org).

My expirience with E6 (Recovery on timer expiry) is that it is normaly
caused by a D-channel configuration error; differnet configurations of the
ISDN connection (Telekom or PBX) and ISDN card; e.g. PP on one side, PMP on
the other.

What exactly happens you´ll find out with a D-channel trace.

Hi,
Thanks Jochen for your response. I told my system administrator in
Germany to check that PBX is well-configured. In the meantime, I have
been searching for tools to do a D-channel trace. My controler have
one tool, but it is under DOS(We have Linux).

Where can I find a tool for tracing a D-channel?

Thanks in advance,

Marcos. 'wannabe'.

At the moment there is no CAPI 2.0 standard method for D-channel tracing (a
suggestion for a standard is under discussion).
Thats menas for the ISDN controller you´re using you get a D-chan tracing
tool from the manufacturer of the ISDN controller you´re using (if the
manufacturer offers such a tool, but most do).
