Dear Friends,
I have a little problem.
Today I needed to open Eudora without it downloading my mail from the
server. Since I don't know how to change the settings in the Options menu
without first opening Eudora, I disconnected the internet cable instead.
When I then launched Eudora, it opened, and shortly thereafter the little
error window at the bottom opened as well, informing me of the inability to
connect to the server. Shortly thereafter a small error window opened very
briefly in the middle of the screen informing me that an access violation
had occurred and that the information was being written to the
Exception.log; at that point, all the Eudora windows closed. This behaviour
occurs so long as the cable remains disconnected. When I reconnect the
internet cable, Eudora launches and works just fine.
The Exception.log contains the entry

Mon Jul 27 13:34:00 2009
7.1.0.9

Eudora.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module
Eudora.exe at 001B:0059332A

Registers:
EAX=00000001 EBX=05406008 ECX=05406008 EDX=0012FAB4 ESI=05406008

CS=001B DS=0023 SS=0023 ES=0023 FS=003B GS=0000

followed by a not very informative (to me, at least) stack dump.
I should perhaps add that I have opened Eudora in the past without
the internet cable connected, and had no such problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
