we want to developp a simple client/server application between 2 Win98 PC by
using a PPP link. the used server is PWS. our problem is that the data flow
from the server to the PC must be forwarded to adeveloped card connected to the
PCI and the data flow from the client must take another path (in our case RS232
line). how we can separate the two flow?

You might be able to do this with two network connections, only one of
which can be PPP, and static routing. See the section of my webpage
below on how to use both a network connection and a PPP link at the same
time.

the 'route' command should allow this kind of things. Make sure that the
only route to the other computer is through the interface you want to
use.
