JOB TITLE: SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience.
Individual should also possess a wide range of skills, including an
expert knowledge of the Macintosh, DOS, Windows and UNIX operating
systems, SMTP, internet, Novell network administration and integration,
TCP/IP applications with XWindows and NFS. Experience troubleshooting and
repairing at system level Macintosh, IBM compatibles, Sun SPARC and NeXT
systems is also desired.
JOB TITLE: NETWORK ENGINEER
EXPERIENCE:
Computer engineering experience blending hardware, communications and
software expertise. Operations experience is necessary. Familiarity with
UNIX and MS windows is desirable. Knowledge of TCP/IP, NIS, NFS and
Novell required. Responsible for design, development and operations of
networked computing. Identify hardware and software required to achieve
necessary network performance in an evolving environment. Provide
expertise to system administrators on network operations, troubleshoot
operational problems driving to a solution.
JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT COMPUTER OPERATIONS MANAGER -
EXPERIENCE:
BS or AAS in a computer related field with 3 5 years experience in
computer system administration and operation management. Experience in
software development, database administration, hardware or systems
development is desirable. ECNE/CNE or equivalent with experience in a MS
Windows environment, familiarity with TCP/IP and Novell. Daily management
of the operations of Systems Group computer systems. Provide expert
technical assistance in resolving computer system problems. Supervision
of 5 7 system administrators and hardware technicians. Coordination with
users, program management, IR&T, purchasing and facilities organizations.
Receive technical direction and general supervision from operations
manager.
JOB TITLE: MTS SOFTWARE ENGINEER
EXPERIENCE:
MS in CS or EE. Minimum 3 years experience in the design, development and
integration of software systems. Demonstrated proficiency with SW
development life cycle. Experience with c/UNIX and networking required.
Experience with Windows, Mac, or OS/2 programming is helpful. Experience
with SYBASE important. Support full life cycle software design process
for UNIX workstation environment. Program in "c" language. Assist system
requirements specs creation, implement client server text retrieval and
DBMS solutions for heterogeneous environments. Support customer meetings.
Travel to customer locations in local DC/VA areas. Familiarity with and
ability to program computer workstations. Effective customer/staff
interaction.
JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS ENGINEER -
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years experience in software development in a UNIX environment.
Minimum BS in CS or related field; C and Ada programming experience;
X/Motif interface development; relational DBMS experience; strong
analytical and communication skills. Responsible for developing a rapid
prototype through the integration of state of the art, commercially
available hardware and software. Responsible for designing and developing
software interfaces to bridge disparate software packages in a coherent
spatial processing environment. System capabilities will include:
Relational data base management systems, geographic information systems,
and spatial visualization tools.
