Shurely, "merged to form 'Sybase Powersoft'" by swapping shares in the respective companies. Sybase owns 73.7% and Powersoft owns 26.3% of the new company, which will be the seventh largest software company.

So, basically, what does this mean in practical terms; i.e., do I now buy
my PowerBuilder from
my Sybase rep? Is PB support now covered under my Sybase support, instead
of being
a seperate bill for $5k/year? Is BuildMomentum dead? Was this why the
Tools conference
was cancelled at a late date?

Somehow I think this part about $5K/year maintenance for PB and $7K+ for
SQL Server can server as an island of stability in an otherwise volatile
