We are running sybase 11.0.1 on hpux 10.1. We use sqlbacktrack for
backup/restoration
of data.
For some reason, the sybase dataserver goes to some bad state and
the backup fail.
When i try to "shutdown SYB_BACKUP" from isql, it just doesn't do
anything. The
back-server still runs. I've tried to kill backup server (unix kill) and
then try to restore but
still the problem persists.
Last time this happened, I had to reboor os.
Does anyone has any experience with this????
I know there are some trace flags that I can use to track TDS
packges to find out if
this is the os problem. (I used some while at sybase, but don't have
details now).
Has anyone encountered this problem before??
